First off, this year has not been easy. The first month, everything seemed to pile up so quickly and before you knew it your first physics exam was the next week. Through all the chaos, I managed to gather myself altogether once again and start off fresh for the next exams. I became more proactive towards my learning and even more of an effective learner by understanding that a teacher can only teach so much. But, it would be up to me whether or not I want to learn the information. I’ve spent hours with David Rodgers trying to understand my physics test, I’ve attended group meetings, I’ve attended Melogno’s office hours, I’ve studied by myself in an attempt to retain the information. Yet, I still found the information difficult. But, I figured if the rest of my peers can learn this so can I! So, I could say I’ve been an effective learner by continuing to strive for the best, because if that is what I’m aiming for, I will get the best. Next semester, will be much better I know. I have already begun to study, read the physics chapter, and I will make sure I go day by day to learn this information. Also, I will use my peers as my resources, and work toward that “P” I know I can get, but, only through hard work and effort.
As, for my senior project, I received my service puppy at the age of twelve weeks. She went to the restroom in my house at least four times a day, she chewed everything. But, as an owner of six dogs, this came as no surprise to me. Now, she hasn’t had an accident for two weeks, she only chews her dog toys and she has effectively learned the “sit” and “stay” commands, which I am very proud of. I have learned more and more of the process and effort that goes into dog obedience and everyday I continue to learn from her.
